Hey all! I have had eczema since birth and I’m always really picky with what i put on my skin. This is mainly because it is so sensitive and extremely dry. Shea butter has worked great for me recently but i like to layer products for maximum moisture! These products are all very thick which is great for dry skin and have little to no fragrance or perfume which is important for sensitive skin.
As the weather gets colder here in NY its important to be moisturized properly from head to toe! Here are my faves!
Eucerin Cream
This cream is the most heavy duty product on this list. This will moisturize the driest roughest skin and keep it that way for the whole day.
Nivea Body Cream with Almond Oil
This smells so good and fresh but the smell is still light. It has a lotion consistency but is still rich and thick.
CeraVe Moisturizing Cream $10
There is barely any scent with this product and its a little on the pricey side. It has a thick lotion consistency and very moisturizing.
Shea Moisture African Black Soap Body Lotion
This smells really good but again the smell is very light. It is thick which makes it annoying to come out the bottle but it is still a lotion and not a creme. It is very moisturizing and work well with the body wash from the African body soap line.
Vaseline Intensive Care Essential Healing
This has some fragrance but it is minimal and not overbearing. It doesn’t sting or burn and its basically a lotion. It locks moisture in!
Gold Bond Eczema Relief $10
I saw many commercials for this product and testimonials so I decided to give it a try. Anything claiming to relieve eczema isn’t usually true to be honest, but this actually worked! I think the oatmeal in this really does calm down any itchiness and active eczema. I ended using this all over my body because I liked it that much. It is a little pricey for the small bottle and it is a lotion so you will have to reapply.
Where do you get the African black soap for $9?!
