Tools You NEED If You Have Natural Hair

Here are some tools you need if you don’t know where to start…

You can find ALL these tools at your local beauty supply store, however I’ve linked where you can find them with ease.

 

Denman brush

To help detangle hair and clump curls. People usually remove a few rows so it can get through curly hair easier, me included. Get it here.

Wide Tooth Comb

To help detangle hair. I have about three of these.Pick up a few here.

 

Hard brush

Great for slicking down hair into a tight bun, ponytail, etc. Get one here.

Edge Brush/ Toothbrush

A brush specifically or swooping and styling edges. A toothbrush also gets the job done. Take a look here.

 

Satin Head Scarf/Bonnet

Protects hair while sleeping. You can find a head scarf at your local beauty supply store. Or you can order one here.

Satin Pillowcase

To protect hair while sleeping. This is a game changer! Get two for the price of one here.


Butterfly clips

To section hair out of the way when styling, applying product, washing hair, etc. These are my favorite kind. Get some here.

Hair Dryer

To stretch hair for certain styles, to dry hair quickly, etc. This is my favorite blow dryer, i have had it a long time.   1. I tell every natural I encounter about the detangling brush that has changed my life: The KareCo Tangle Buster Brush (Walmart, around $10-$13). If the Felicia Leatherwood Brush and the Wet Brush (a paddle brush) had a baby, this would be it!
